TWAICE and BW ESS Expand Partnership to Scale Data-Led BESS Operations
Following Flagship Site Success, BW ESS Kicks Off Next Stage of Collaboration
Known for their speed and market responsiveness, BW ESS is redefining how large-scale storage fleets are operated, optimized, and monetized. Through the expanded partnership, BW ESS will deploy TWAICE’s analytics to monitor performance, extend asset life, and unlock real-time operational intelligence.
Portfolio Strategy Driven by Performance and Scale
BW ESS operates one of the fastest-growing battery storage fleets across the UK, Continental Europe, and Australia. With performance KPIs like availability and round-trip efficiency directly tied to commercial outcomes, the company needed a partner that could deliver precise, real-time insights and actionable reporting at scale.
After a competitive evaluation of battery analytics providers, BW ESS selected TWAICE to enable their data-first strategy.
The decision builds on the performance of BW ESS’s 100MW / 331MWh Bramley site, where TWAICE’s analytics software has supported higher availability, easier contract compliance, and improved operational efficiency.

With TWAICE powering continuous monitoring of asset health, early anomaly detection, and automated warranty tracking, the BW ESS team can spot issues earlier, plan more confidently, and operate their assets with greater precision. These capabilities are becoming foundational for maximizing uptime and ROI on high-value battery systems, especially as the company grows their presence in merchant and hybrid markets.
The broader rollout also supports longer asset life and smoother operations across a global fleet.
